MSA Squash Court Rentals Program

MSA members can now rent a squash court through MSA by the hour at any time except the 5 and 5:15 pm weekday slots or when league play is already scheduled.  All rentals must be made and paid for in the month BEFORE the court rental date.  Rental for an entire court is $5.50/hour and is non-refundable – MSA is billed even if you do not use it.

This provides income to Nielsen, helps utilize underused squash court times, and fills a need of many non-UW affiliated club members to play squash outside of league.  UW-affiliated members benefit by having more and better squash players for matches in and out of league.

How to rent courts for the following month

  1. Pick the dates and times (including any alternate times) you want to rent a court during the next month.  You may want to coordinate rentals with your playing partners.
  2. On or after the 20th of the present month, email your request with your name, telephone number, and requested dates and times to courtrental_at_madisonsquash.org.
  3. Await an email or telephone call confirming your rentals and providing payment details.

Payment:

We need the money in advance because the club is billed for the court even if you do not use it.If you prefer to send a check. You can electronically send money via PayPal to pay for the rental in advance (use the donation and court rental section in increments for $5 to cover the appropiate fee).

Rental Policies

  1. MSA members can request up to 1 hour per day and 20 hours per month.
  2. Full payment must be received before 12 noon on the last weekday before the month starts or your rentals may not be made.
  3. Earlier requests receive priority.
  4. Rentals may only be made for the following month.  Multi-month rentals will not be accepted in order to simplify bookkeeping and ensure all members can rent courts.
  5. Specific courts may not be requested.  If you want a specific court, contact the Nielsen desk no more than one day in advance of the court rental date.
  6. There are no refunds once a court is rented unless Nielsen cancels the court's availability.
  7. These policies may be revised as needed.  If it is feasible and there is interest, we may be able to establish prepaid player accounts for a player to draw upon.
